Colour is a bit of a mysterious thing for me. Always has been. As a kid, other kids would make fun of me because I didn't seem to know my colours. As long as the name of the colour was written on the pencil, I was ok. But if it wasn't, then it was ll purple skies, green skin and brown trees.
It's not like I see in black and white, it's just certain shades of red and green I don't see. Mauve, for instance, which is a mix of blue and red, I often see as blue.
A bit like someone who's a bit deaf, I like my colours BRIGHT AND LOUD! Turn the volume up to eleven!
Anyhoo, that's why I have a lot more fun working in black and white. I do create the occasional colour piece, but my main focus really is the black and white (besides, there are infinite possibilities in black and white!
